About

Francisca Vaz Bravo carried out her studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra in Portugal, where she received her integrated Masters degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. During her degree, she engaged in basic and translational science in the context of the Erasmus Student Placement Program in the Faculty of Pharmacy of Charles University in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. During 2012, she performed basic research work related with the study of the role of brain lipid metabolism in chronic stress in Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS). Currently, she is a PhD student in the Inter-University Doctoral Programme in Ageing and Chronic Disease. Her PhD work has been mainly focused in the field of Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis. She is an author of two publications in international peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, she presented her work in various international conferences. She has goal-oriented mindset combined with excellent adaptability, broad set of soft-skills and high level of commitment.
