Marco Guimarães gratuated in Biochemistry in 2009 at University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro and completed his manter degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2012 at University of Coimbra (Portugal) and Janssen Pharmaceutica (Belgium). He is currently a Researcher Fellowship at the Neuroscience Research Domain at the ICVS/3B’s PT-Government Associate Laboratory (Portugal), under the supervision of Prof. Armando Almeida and Hugo Leite-Almeida. His main line of research deals with the understanding of the impact peripheral neuropathies and pain in mood and cognitive function in prefrontal cortex.
