About

Sandro Queirós (SQ) graduated and received his M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering (with a specialization in the field of Medical Electronics) in 2013 by the University of Minho. He has then completed his Ph.D. degree under the joint supervision of the University of Minho (Portugal; doctoral program in Biomedical Engineering) and KU Leuven (Belgium, doctoral program in Biomedical Sciences, in the field of Health & Technology). Throughout his research career, Sandro has been mainly interested in the development of novel medical image processing solutions to help clinicians in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Specifically, his work has been focused primarily in cardiovascular diseases, contributing in the development of a multitude of novel, accurate, reproducible and fast image processing methodologies for cardiac quantification from magnetic resonance, computed tomography and echocardiographic images.
