24-25 October 2013 Alzheimer disease is an age-dependent neurodegenerative disorder without an available treatment mainly due to the limited understanding of pathogenic mechanisms as well as the risk factors that trigger the disease. This 2-days symposium is a focused meeting that brings together basic and clinical researchers working on the field of Alzheimer´s disease utilizing divergent approaches and models. The small residential setting of this symposium will offer the opportunity to young investigators to interact through formal and informal discussions with experts on the AD field from USA, Japan and Europe.
