DESCRIPTION:Next Monday at 1 pm\, don’t miss Joana Ferreira “Role of adipose tissue and skeletal muscle in atherosclerotic occlusive disease and in central hemodynamics” at the A0.03 auditorium in UMinho’s School of Medicine. \nJoana Ferreira concluded her MSc in Medicine in Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Investigator in Universidade do Minho and Centro Académico Hospital of Senhora da Oliveira in Guimarães and Medical Assistant at the Centro Hospitalar de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro EPE. Published 65 articles in peer-reviewed journals\, wrote two book chapters and was candidate to 11 awards. Reviewer in four scientifical journals. Thesis/project advisor of over 10 students\, in particular\, of School of Medicine in the University of Minho. Works in Health and Medical Science areas\, with emphasis in Clinical Medicine and\, more specifically\, as a Vascular Surgeon.
