Alexandre Carvalho completed his PhD in Health Sciences in 2015 at the Universidade Católica Portugues, Institute of Health Sciences. He has a degree in Medicine since 1991 from the University of Porto, Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar. He is a Specialist Physician; a Graduate Assistant in the Consultant Hospital at the Internal Medicine Service of Hospital de Braga; the Coordinator of the COVID-19 Response in Inpatient Care at the Hospital of Braga; the Coordinator of the Advanced Surveillance Ward of the Medicine Service of the Hospital of Braga; the Coordinator of the Regional Pharmacovigilance Unit of Braga; and an Invited Assistant Professor at the University of Minho – School of Medicine. He has published 20 articles in indexed and peer reviewed journals. He was part of the Organizing Committee of 11 events, incluing national congresses, meetings and courses. He has received 2 awards/scholarships. He has participated as Principal Investigator, in 5 international multicenter studies, and as National Coordinator in 2 multicenter research projects. Guest speaker in more than 30 scientific/pedagogical activities.
