Marta Ferreira completed her BSc in biomedical science (University of Algarve -2020). Master´s degree in biomedical science- disease mechanism (University of Algarve – 2023). Marta has been art of the ReNeu team since September 2022, where she had the opportunity to develop her master´s project. This involved the use of two drugs (baclofen and pregabalin) as a potential therapy for spinal cord injuries. Since graduating, Marta has had a keen interest in neuroscience, but it was during the development of her thesis that she discovered her passion for working with spinal cord injuries. Marta is also very interested in areas such as gene therapy, stem cells e immunology. In the future, she would like to combine her interest in spinal cord injuries with one of her areas of interest.
