Alda Ferreira
Alda holds a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Porto, a master’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Minho, and postgraduate training in laboratory procedures for the diagnosis of immunopathologies at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto.
She has over two decades of experience in clinical diagnostic laboratories. Her work has included conducting and validating diagnostic tests, developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, monitoring quality assurance programs, assisting with internal audits, training staff, and mentoring university interns.
She has also worked in the biotechnology industry and conducted academic research at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in molecular biology and immunology.
She currently provides executive office support to the ICVS Directorate.
