Prof Descoteaux holds a BSc in Biology and a MSc in Microbiology from Université de Montréal and he obtained a PhD in Parasitology (1991) at McGill University. In 1996, he joined the Institut Armand-Frappier (INRS) where he currently is Professor. His research interests focus on the cellular mechanisms of Leishmania pathogenesis.
