Daniela Monteiro Fernandes holds a BSc in Biochemistry and completed a MSc in Health Sciences from the University of Minho in 2018. She is currently a PhD student at Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS), interested in understanding the pathogenesis of Rett Syndrome, while searching for novel therapeutic approaches for this condition.
