ICVS Seminar “Exploration of glucose metabolism in acute myeloid leukemia: Effect of 3-bromopyruvate in the response to chemotherapy”

Next Monday at 1 pm, don’t miss Joana Vieira “Exploration of glucose metabolism in acute myeloid leukemia: Effect of 3-bromopyruvate in the response to chemotherapy” at the A0.03 auditorium in UMinho’s School of Medicine.

Joana Vieira holds a BSc in Applied Biology and completed her MSc in Molecular Genetics at the University of Minho in 2017. Currently, Joana is a Ph.D. student at ICVS, and her research focuses on the anticancer effect of 3-bromopyruvate in acute myeloid leukemia. Her work is being developed in collaboration with CBMA-UMinho, the NewGLabPharma company, and more recently, the University Hospital of the Paracelsus Medical University, Salzburg.
