Sofia Leal Santos completed her MD at University of Minho in 2021 and is completing her PhD through the Minho MD/PhD program.
She developed methodologies to quantify neural ensembles across the brain, and studied how conditioned fear learning and its neural correlates are altered by noradrenergic modulation with propranolol, and by fear extinction
