Ana João Rodrigues, researcher at the ICVS of the School of Medicine of the University of Minho, was elected to join the Committee for Higher Education and Training (CHET) of the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), which begins work with the first meeting at the end of August.
CHET is a committe responsible for the governance and implementation of training and education activities such as coordinating a programme of high-level neuroscience Schools, investing in hands-on training in neuroscience, sponsoring student exchange programmes within Europe or expanding the reach and impact of neuroscience training through the Network of European Neuroscience Schools (NENS).
Ana João Rodrigues highlights that “on a personal level, it is an honor to be elected to this committee that belongs to the highest representative body of Neurosciences at an European level. As for the professional aspect, it is a recognition of all the work I have been doing and a belief, on the part of this society, in my skills as a professional and in the contribution I can make to improving the training of European neuroscientists”.
The Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) is an international organisation, representing 40 neuroscience societies across 31 countries and federating over 22,000 neuroscientists, that works to promote all aspects of neuroscience, through education, outreach and scientific exchange.
