The Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS) is looking for PhD researchers, with a relevant scientific curriculum as well as technical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Use of human induced pluripotent stem cells (hIPSCs) and/or organoids for modelling of human diseases
- Advanced microscopy and/or optogenetics
- High throughput drug screening
- Gene editing or Gene therapy
- Lipidomics
- Systems Biology
- Epidemiology
The ICVS is the R&D Unit of the School of Medicine, University of Minho, strategically located within a fast-growing Cluster of Biomedical Science, Technology and Healthcare organizations. Researchers with complementary academic backgrounds are presently working at our institute, covering the complete R&D pipeline, from in vitro research, to animal models and pre-clinical validation, to clinical trials, and finally to reach the market as innovative medical solutions.
