My name is Carla Pereira, and I hold a Nursing degree from the Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto (ESEP), which I completed in 2007. Since then, I have worked as a nurse in both Portugal and Switzerland. In 2019, I collaborated in a clinical research study focused on a new immunotherapy treatment for bladder cancer. Currently, I am a MSc student in Health Sciences at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS)/School of Medicine, at the University of Minho. My master’s thesis, titled “Optimizing the Cryopreservation of the Secretome from Induced Mesenchymal Stem Cell-Like Cells: Exploring the Efficacy of Lyophilization,” is being conducted under the supervision of Belém Sampaio-Marques and António J. Salgado.
