Helena Cavaleiro is Biochemist with a Master’s degree in Neurobiology (2018). Currently, she is doing her PhD in neurosciences at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS), School of Medicine – University of Minho, supervised by António Salgado. Her research focuses on studying the therapeutical potential of Mesenchymal Stem Cells in promoting regeneration after Traumatic Brain Injury. Recently, her project was congratulated with an EMBO short-term fellowship (2021) that allowed her to collaborate with experts in her studies field and gain the theoretical insights and practical knowledge.
