Luana is an undergraduate student in Biotechnology at the Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo (IPVC). She is currently conducting her final-semester internship at ICVS under the supervision of Dr. Joana Pereira-Sousa and Dr. Inês Laranjeira. Her research focuses on assessing the potential of Genista tridentata extract to improve healthspan in a diabetes model, using Caenorhabditis elegans as an experimental organism.
