Pedro Mota is a Psychiatry doctor at Centro Hospitalar do Tâmega e Sousa. Doctoral student in Medicine at the School of Medicine of the University of Minho and researcher at the Institute for Research in Life and Health Sciences (ICVS), where is working on a project that aims to develop novel approaches for treatment-resistant OCD presentations. He holds a master’s degree in Social and Cultural Psychiatry (University of Coimbra) and also a postgraduate diploma in Psychotraumatology (Trauma Observatory/CES-UC/The European Society of Traumatic Stress Studies). He is a Co-founder and President of the Board of SPACE, a portuguese scientific association that aims to study the therapeutic use of psychedelic substances in Psychiatry and Mental Health. He is interested in Clinical and Qualitative research, Transcultural Psychiatry and Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy.
