  • MRI
  • Neurodegeneration
  • Phospholipase D

I am a PhD student in Health Sciences at the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal) under the supervision of Dr. Tiago Gil Oliveira and Dr. Sébastien Mériaux (Neurospin, Saclay). In 2020 I graduated in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Aveiro, and in 2022 I obtained my master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a specialisation in Neurobiology, at the University of Coimbra. Afterwards, I did an Erasmus Internship at the Institute of Neuroscience, Alicante, where I worked with diffusion MRI. My main interests and research focuses are how MRI tools can be used to find and characterise neuropathological biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases and their relationship to the biological processes underlying white and grey matter (dys)functionality.
