Bárbara Pereira Teixeira is an MSc student in Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto (FEUP, Portugal). She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP). Currently, Bárbara is a researcher at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS), School of Medicine, University of Minho, having been awarded a fellowship as part of an FCT-funded research project. Her master’s thesis focuses on developing a novel deep learning-based algorithm for case-based retrieval in lung ultrasound videos, with the ultimate goal of enhancing diagnostic accuracy, supporting medical practitioners’ decision-making, and serving as a valuable training resource for clinicians specializing in this modality.
