Carolina Teixeira (CT) graduated in Genetics and Biotechnology (University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro) in 2024. CT developed her final project at the Portuguese Oncology Institute of Porto (IPO Porto), identifying molecular markers of EGFR and STAT3 coinhibition in 3D cellular models of ETS+ prostate cancer subtypes. In 2024, CT enrolled in the Master’s in Biomedicine at the School of Medicine, University of Minho, where she discovered a new interest in Neurosciences. For her dissertation, CT joined the Brain Circuits and Neuron-glia Adaptations team (C2B) under the supervision of Dr. João Filipe Oliveira and is currently studying the role of astrocytes in mood and cognition.
