Daniela Ribeiro

Daniela Ribeiro holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry (2022) from School of Sciences, University of Minho. During her bachelor’s degree she acquired basic training in cell culture techniques while studying therapeutic approaches in cancer models. Recently, she has enrolled in the Master Program in Biomedicine, School of Medicine, University of Minho, and she is currently developing her master’s thesis under the supervision of Dr. Joana Silva. She is exploring the role of the cytotoxic granule-associated RNA-binding protein TIA-1 in local translation and its impact in neuronal function, and synaptic structure.
She has developed molecular biology skills, neuronal structure techniques, and works primarily with behavioral assays to study brain-related conditions. Her research experience allowed her to develop a strong interest in translational biomedical research.
