Gonçalo Ferreira completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry in 2020 at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra. He made is Bachelor´s Project in the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology of the University of Coimbra, developing a final report on “The role of microglia in the myelination and remyelination and the impact of the MSUS protocol on myelination. Among his work in associativism at Associação Académica de Coimbra, it is worth highlighting his role as ambassador for innovation and entrepreneurship, in which he developed work in the promotion of Science and Technology. Presently, he is working towards a Master’s degree in Biomedical Research, with specialization in Neurosciences, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra. Under the scope of his Master´s Degree, he is performing his thesis work at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute, under the supervision of Dr. Luisa Pinto, focused on understanding the role of cytogenesis on brain physiology and behavior.
