José Duarte Dias (JDD) graduated in Biochemistry (School of Sciences, University of Minho. Braga) in 2022. The final BSc project was conducted at the Life and Health Research Institute (ICVs) under the supervision of Joana Silva (PhD) and consisted in exploring the potential role of cannabidiol as a therapy for a Tau-pathology derived Alzheimer’s disease. Since 2022, JDD has been enrolled in the MSc program in (Health Sciences, School of Medicine, University of Minho). The master thesis is being developed at the ICVS, under the supervision of João Filipe Oliveira (PhD), and explores the role of astrocytic metabotropic glutamate receptor 5 in depression.
