Natália G. Fiorenza graduated in Biology, from Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2007), holds a master’s degree in Health Sciences from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (2010) and received a PhD in Medical Sciences from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2012). She has collaborated on many clinical and pre-clinical projects about extracellular vesicles (EVs), molecular biomarkers of neurological diseases, and immune-inflammatory processes. In her last postdoctoral study, she was responsible for clinical research involving more than 5000 participants in 4 Health Centers in Brazil. Her research at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS) focused on the gene mutations and inflammatory profile related to clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) in Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) patients, as well as analyze EVs profile and biomarkers for chronic inflammation-associated diseases. Furthermore, she is involved in the development of a new multiplex diagnostic and classification platform for these patients.
