Raquel Lima graduated in Biomedical Engineering (BSc) in 2023 from University of Minho (UM), Portugal. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the same university, specializing in Medical Electronics. In 2023, Raquel completed a summer internship at ICVS, where she joined the Surgical Sciences & Allied Technologies research team. Building on this experience, Raquel is now developing her master’s thesis at ICVS, focusing on developing a volume reconstruction algorithm for tumor assessment from freehand ultrasound recordings in mice. Throughout her life, Raquel has been actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including mentoring and volunteer programs, including the UMinho Mentoring Program 2024 and the Social Leadership Program.
