Sandra Fátima Fernandes Martins, graduated in Medicine at Faculdade de Ciências Médicas de Lisboa, 7/4/2020. Works as a Graduated Hospital Assistant in General Surgery at Braga Hospital.
On December 14, 2012, she took his PhD exams at the School of Medicine of Minho University, defending the PhD thesis “Expression of Colorectal Cancer Metabolic and Angiogenenic markers: Association with clinical pathological characteristics and impact on prognosis”.
From 2016 to 2017, she was coordinator of the Clinical Research Center of the Hospital de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro.
She develops basic and clinical research at ICVS, focused on intestinal tract pathology.
She has several articles published in national and international journals as first author and co-author. She is part of the newspaper editorial and is a reviewer for several journals. So far, she has supervised 50 Master’s students. Having participated in several master and doctoral juries. She has participated as a guest speaker at several international meetings. Being part of the organizing committee.
