About

Patrícia Patrício graduated in Applied Biology by the University of Minho and obtained a MSc in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine by the New University of Lisbon, in 2010.

In 2012, she co-founded the start up Bn'ML - Behavioral and Molecular Lab. Bn'ML offers
customized preclinical behavioral and molecular analysis services for testing the potential of new therapeutic compounds. The company was awarded with the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) Prize, in 2013.

Patrícia completed a post graduation in Business Management and has received training in different areas of management and entrepreneurship.

She obtained her PhD in Health Sciences at the School of Health Sciences, in May 2016, under the supervision of Luísa Pinto, PhD, Osborne Almeida, PhD and Nuno Sousa, MD, PhD. Her PhD work focused on the molecular alterations underlying the neuroplastic phenomena occurring in the hippocampal neurogenic niche in the context of depression and after the treatment with different antidepressants, using a preclinical model.
