Vítor is a master’s student of the ICVS Master Program in Health Sciences at the University of Minho, Portugal, where he also completed his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry. During his final undergraduate year, he started working on pioneering research to assess brain and cell-specific Phospholipase D (PLD) activity using click chemistry, a project that he is still undertaking and actively involved in during his Master Degree, under the supervision of Tiago Gil Oliveira. He is specially focused on the application of the I.M.P.A.C.T. (Imaging PLD Activity with Clickable Alcohols via Transphosphatidylation) method developed by Jeremy Baskin.
